CUPE 3799 Ratification Vote

June 27, 2019 @ 4:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Senate Chambers

Further information on the ratification vote for the new Collective Agreement:

The Bargaining Team elected to move the ratification vote to Thursday, June 27th, 2019 at 4:30 p.m. in the Senate Chambers due to Senate meeting on June 26th.  The Bargaining Team and the Executive were not cognizant that Senate would be meeting on the Wednesday, June 26th meeting date originally scheduled until member of the CUPE 3799 Local asked about the conflict. Given the conflict, we have re-scheduled.

If you are not able to attend the meeting in person, we will have a Bluejeans session running. We will have an email address available (of a non bargaining team member) to accept votes from the regions and those on Bluejeans, to have your vote counted.

If you are not able to attend the ratification meeting, either in person or via the Bluejeans session, an e-mail will be sent out Thursday, June 27th following the ratification vote to indicate the decision of those attending the vote. If the membership elects to ratify the agreement, I will commit to sending out an update to the membership outlining the terms of the agreement the evening of June 27th.

Please remember – if you are joining by Bluejeans, you need to be identified to ensure you are a CUPE 3799 member. Please include your first and last name if joining the session via computer. If you are joining by phone, please expect to be asked who is on the line prior to being allowed to participate. If this information cannot be confirmed and verified – you will be dropped from the session; repeated attempts to connect from an unverified source will be disconnected.

We appreciate your patience with technology – the CUPE Executive *offer* Bluejeans as an option to attending in person. We cannot rely on the service as it is maintained outside of our realm. If it is important for you to be in attendance at a meeting and you are a Prince George member, please attend the meeting in person.

Regions: if you experience a problem connecting, please contact Dale Laluk via email or text message to his cell phone during the connection phase of the meeting (250-614-6532). Please get this contact information prior to the meeting. Once the meeting is underway there is no way to deal with one-off connection issues.
