We are thrilled to announce that the CUPE 3799 Bargaining Committee has reached a tentative agreement with the University!
We will have two ratification meetings on Nov. 25, 2026 where we will present the full package to the membership.
The first meeting will take place over the noon hour in the Senate Chambers and online and will replace our regularly scheduled general membership meeting. This meeting will be a presentation of the package, with limited time for questions.
The second meeting will take place at 4:45 p.m. in the Canfor Theatre and online. This meeting will feature the same presentation, but will include ample time for questions.
The ratification vote will take place over Simply Voting, opening at 6 p.m. on Nov. 25 and closing on Nov. 26 at 6 p.m.
There will be an additional piece of communication that we will share in advance of the ratification meeting. It will be prepared jointly by the Union and the University and include information related to the conversion to the Municipal Pension Plan.
The Bargaining Committee is grateful for the support we received from the membership throughout this process, especially over the past few months.
