About

The Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 3799 (CUPE 3799) at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) includes all support staff that work at the institution.

The CUPE 3799 Executive meets every Wednesday from 12pm to 1pm in the CUPE 3799 Board room.

General membership meetings are held monthly on the last Wednesday January through June and September through December. These meetings are usually held in the UNBC Senate Chambers. Any member in good standing can attend the general membership meetings.

The CUPE 3799 Engagement Committee hosts orientation sessions for new employees. These sessions are typically held once a month and provide further information about CUPE. Each new employee is given a half an hour to attend this orientation as part of their UNBC onboarding.

CUPE 3799 maintains a bulletin board on the Prince George campus of the current executive, shop stewards, CUPE committees and reps who serve on all committees. The CUPE bulletin board is located across from Copy Services.
